There is a need for warning message about opening your Q15. I've done it and now i have broken rear glass and probably Bluetooth antenna because it is designed in a phone way. One should hot air front glass with screen, then disconnect screen ribbon (which if you take the screws first and don't mind glass it will get bad), then hot air rear glass, disconnect Bluetooth antenna, and in the last step unscrew 3 mini screws on the bottom of the device. Unfortunately there is no replacement for rear glass :frowning2:
Dear friend,

Hi, if you need extra rear glass for Q15, you could contact support@fiio.com for help.

Best regards

I am sorry that you are having this problem, but hopefully it is a lesson to you and others… usually opening small electronics is difficult and fraught with potential problems.

I'm considering downsizing my audio setup by moving from an R7(home desktop) + Q15(office desktop/portable) to M15S

Has anyone here used both the Q15 and M15S? How do they compare in terms of sound quality and performance?

Any feedback comparing the sound of the Q15 and M15S would be very helpful as I evaluate whether to make the switch.

Hey Guys!

Can I use this device as a standalone DAC, if I have a more powerful desktop amp?
(with 4.4mm to XLR-s or something like that)
The line outs are bypassing the amp section right?
Thanks!
Yes, you can set the 4.4mm as a line output with a fixed level

Thanks!

And when I set that up, it bypasses the amp section?

No it doesn't bypass the amp. It just sets a fixed volume level. True line-outs are fairly rare in the portable DAP/DAC world, although some Hiby products have them.
